Union Bank is located at the prominent corner of Hecker Pass and Santa Teresa in Gilroy. The project included the design of the six acre site to accommodate a new 20,000 sq. ft. bank building and pads for two additional 20,000 square foot buildings. Weston Miles Architects ultimately redesign the entire corner, coordinating with Cal Trans, the County Transportation Agency and the City of Gilroy.
The building has become a local landmark with the lobby being used as a community center capable of accommodating large groups of up to 600. Local charities and business organizations use the facility, often converting the teller line into a bar during social functions.
