McCollam Elementary is a new 4 classroom school for SCCOE. The roofs were designed to angle to the south, providing proper shading of the classrooms while still allowing indirect natural light into the classrooms to reduce the need for extra lighting. Operable windows and multiple doors allow for cross ventilation that naturally filters interior air. The use of BIM technology to create 3D renderings and flythroughs allow us to show the client what the end result will look like months before construction even starts. This project was designed to CHPS Standards.
